MIndanao State University- Main Campus 2016 Founding Anniversary

On September 1, 2016 Mindanao State University (MSU) main campus also known as “the melting pot of the south” celebrated its 55 anniversary with the theme “In partnership with the National Government in pursuing reforms towards peace and poverty alleviation”. Going back to its history MSU was founded under Republic Act 1387, as amended, and Republic Act 1893 by then Senator Domacao Alonto. It was formally established on September 1, 1961, in Marawi City, with the organization of its Board of regents and the Election of Dr. Antonio Isidro as its founding President. Within its fifty five years of establishment Mindanao State University never fail to keep its mark in Academe through dedicated pursuit of quality education and commitment to excellence. Still soaring high producing a lot of brilliant professionals who excel very well in their chosen field wherever their workplace are. Department of Trade and Industry Participation

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is formally opened in Mindanao State University at Peace Plaza. The College of Business Administration and Accountancy was assigned to be the host of the opening program and in connection with that, Sir Art Marvin was the master of the ceremony (newly hired marketing faculty).  This is my first time to be in this kind of activity that really enlighten me and helped me appreciate the different products produced by the people in ARMM. The program started at August 30 2016 and runs until September 03, 2016. Imagination is more important than knowledge. I, Heyam Guloy Balimbingan born on August 04 1996, rise in Pagadian City as a believer of Islam with a tribe of Maguindanaon with a one hard-headed brother. When I was young my parents begin to fight that cause them to be separated that resulted to live in the side of my grandparents at the age of 6 together with my little brother. My grandma died December of 2005 and I now only have my grandpa. Growing without my real parents doesn’t hinder me to stop believing on everything possible. I still even believe that I am going to meet my mom and dad in God’s will. Challenges of my life never end. Two of the sister of my mom is having a psycho illness. They are not in normal conditions. Yes they have gathered a four year degree course but the death of my grandma’s impact is still on my aunts’ hand. They aren’t accepting the fact that they lost their mother and until now they are still unstable and suffer pain. Moving on, I am tak
