Department of Trade and Industry Participation




The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is formally opened in Mindanao State University at Peace Plaza. The College of Business Administration and Accountancy was assigned to be the host of the opening program and in connection with that, Sir Art Marvin was the master of the ceremony (newly hired marketing faculty).  This is my first time to be in this kind of activity that really enlighten me and helped me appreciate the different products produced by the people in ARMM. The program started at August 30 2016 and runs until September 03, 2016. This trade Bazar themed “strengthening a strategic partnership between DTI and MSU in creating an environment conducive for entrepreneurship and a culture of innovation. The exhibit is participated by the entrepreneurs in the locality of Lanao del Sur, the OKIR (an organization that make a work of arts by students of MSU) the marketing students, the practitioners of my department, the management students, students in college of agriculture, fisheries and hotel and restaurant management students, Prof. Imara Andam who formally open the program and with the special presence of and participation of beloved president of Mindanao State University President Macaayong who congratulated the contributors of the trade bazar and encourage the young entrepreneurs to conduct this activity twice a year. His attendance during the activity with his wife is just one of the evidences that he is very dynamic indeed supportive to whatever activities held in his university that includes his involvement. Thank you to my instructor who required us to attend the event. Because of him knowledge have been increasingly grow that concerns with business traits.

Aga Khan Museum -Mindanao State University Marawi City

I am very proud to say that I am an MSU’an. Aga Khan is just located on where I am currently studying. Aga Khan Museum is one of the prides of Mindanao State University. June 13, 1962 the museum was officially opened and was founded by Dr. Mamitua D. Saber and he was one of the pioneering of the Mindanao State University. The museum was later renamed in honour of Prince Shah Karim Al Hussaini.   Old but beautiful artefacts of the Meranao are being stored in the museum. Swords, plates, cups, and other things regularly used by their ancestors are there. The materials they used for fishing, for farming is there. The construction of their houses and materials use during celebrations such as weddings and the like are being preserved as well.  On the other hand a monkey eating eagle is also conserved.
